Divinity - First reveal trailer and first official controversy

Okay, now this is pretty damn amazing looking. Being a horror fan my interest has been caught.

However there is now a lot of talk about how the company is going with using more and more AI for it's development. Most links I find lead to a Bloomberg article behind a paywall. But hopefully this one here should work. Personally I don't see why a team of that caliber, who just blew the gates wide open with Baldur's Gate 3, would need to use AI. But evidently the Larian CEO is demanding it.

Guess we'll just wait and see how this pans out. Currently a lot of folks aren't happy about this and are now balking at wanting to pick this up whenever it comes out. If we see Larian doing layoffs and getting rid of developers that amount may get even larger. So far we haven't seen that, they've actually hired a few more. But we don't know how deep into the AI rabbit hole the person in charge wants to dive.

They built up so much goodwill with fans through BG3, it's a pity to watch a CEO throw it all away for the techbro money pit that is AI.
